EU Project Days: My visit to the Gymnasium am Rotenbühl and the Rastbachtal School!

Today I visited two schools as part of the EU project days! Many thanks to the dedicated pupils of the Gymnasium am Rotenbühl and the Schule im Rastbachtal - it was a great pleasure for me to receive input from young people and young adults and to talk about my work as an MEP.

The students asked very relevant questions about current socio-political problems. Through my work as an MEP, I was able to provide an insight into the various political aspects of the EU. We had particularly intensive discussions on topics such as environmental policy and our democracy. In this context, the European elections and the voting age of 16 were also a topic that gave young people the chance to vote at 16 for the first time in these European elections. It is so important that young people in particular take part in political exchange and thus strengthen our democracy!

A big thank you also goes to the school administration and the teachers who made this visit possible. I wish all students continued success on their educational journey!
