I was delighted to welcome another group of visitors to the European Parliament this week.

The group, led by Mr. Joachim Ritter, traveled to Brussels to see European politics for themselves.

In addition to a guided tour of the European Parliament buildings, we discussed the main areas of my parliamentary work, i.e. nature conservation and biodiversity, animal welfare, consumer protection and the decarbonization of European industry.

But we also discussed the current dangers of an anti-democratic percentage hurdle at EU level.
