My topics in the EU Parliament

For me, Europe is a reality that must be preserved.

The tones of a new nationalism worry me. This is an important reason why I ran for the European Parliament. The main reason for my commitment to the ÖDP is the holistic basic program of this particular party. It is the only party that renounces the growth mania. It is the only political grouping that definitely does not accept industrial and corporate donations. As a result, it may be small, but it can shape environmentally, animal welfare and consumer-oriented policies all the more freely and honestly.

My positions

Since the birth of my two children, I am all the more convinced that we must not waste any time in order to keep our climate in balance. To do this, we need to rethink our way of life, for example by using less plastic. But the industry also needs legal requirements, because politicians, especially in Germany, have relied on voluntary action for far too long when it comes to our health protection, animal welfare and environmental protection. We need stricter limits and, where this is not immediately possible, better mandatory labeling. After all, all consumers must be able to recognize what they are buying. Keyword liquid plastic in shower gels, creams and shampoo. Consumers must be able to know at a glance that the product they are buying is damaging their own health and the environment.

This is another reason why I want to get involved in politics.

The student protests for better climate protection show that mistrust of the ruling generation is very high. And rightly so! That is why we are called upon to act in the interests of our children's future, now!

Species protection

In Germany, 35 percent of native animal species and 26 percent of plant species are endangered. Scientists have discovered that up to 130 animal and plant species become extinct worldwide every day. I am committed to protecting species and fighting against the causes, such as land sealing.

Against factory farming

We now urgently need a system change - away from factory farming and towards less and healthier meat consumption. To this end, I propose an EU-binding meat label that also includes images of the farming conditions. Consumers must also be able to see the conditions under which animals are kept. under which animals are kept.

Consumer protection and environmental toxins

Environmental toxins in our products must be banned. Until then, all consumers must be able to recognize what is in the products they buy. One example of this is liquid plastic in shampoo, shower gels and creams.

Consumers should be able to see at first glance that they could be harming the environment and themselves with this product.

Climate protection / decarbonization of the economy

The fact that millions of schoolchildren around the world have taken to the streets in recent years to this dayn totion to fight for climate protection is a clear sign of their mistrust in current politics. I am actively committed to climate protection and the decarbonization of the economy. Sustainable hydrogen should be able to be used in industry, for example to produce produce emission-free steel steel, for example. The expansion of renewable energies should also be significantly advanced.
