Today's Earth Day is not only about appreciating our beautiful home planet, but also about an ecological, environmentally conscious lifestyle to better protect nature.

The European Union is working on many urgently needed measures to encourage industry in particular to take more responsibility for its ecological footprint. But today we want to focus on us as consumers.

Because we only have one Earth - but by 2050, with our increasing consumption, we would actually need three planets! More conscious decisions do not necessarily have to be associated with restrictions.

Incidentally, this year's motto for the day of action in Germany is "Living greener - living in harmony with nature". In addition to living and building, the aim is also to draw attention to resource-conserving work in greener cities.
