Since the ÖDP was founded in 1982, we have been working closely with people who want to improve our society. These people are grouped together in citizens’ groups, associations, or entire movements. We as the Ökologisch-Demokratische Partei (Ecological Democratic Party) admire and support this passion. Over the past decades, we have been able to gain a lot of experience with successful campaigns for our main goals: We would like to introduce some of these petitions and citizens’ initiatives to you.

Against factory farming and for an EU-wide quality certificate!
Can you still keep up with the flood of different certificates on food packaging?
I am committed to an EU-wide quality certificate and would like to display pictures of the living conditions of the farming animals on the packaging.
More than 112,000 petition participants think this way and support the ÖDP in doing so.

Together with almost 1.8 million participants, we were able to call on the Bavarian state government to stop closing their eyes and to do more for biodiversity.
Together with various citizens’ initiatives and other supporters, we were able to run a successful campaign for a more ecological future.
Petition for a Covid-19 citizens' council
The ÖDP Munich has started a petition to persuade the Bavarian state parliament to set up a citizens’ council on the subject of Covid-19.

Save bees and farmers!
15 billion trees are felled every year – 476 per second. Our rainforests, jungles, and forest areas are shrinking to make space for more and more livestock, palm oil, and soybeans.
Right now the EU is considering a new law banning all products related to deforestation. Our earth needs this law – so let’s make it happen and help save the forests!

European citizens' initiative save bees and farmers
The European citizens’ initiative “Save Bees and Farmers” is connected to the Bavarian referendum on species protection. The goal: Collect one million signatures across the EU and give a voice to people who want a systemic change from which everyone benefits: not just our environment, but also farmers and consumers.
Citizens' initiative Pro Wald Gersweiler
The citizens’ initiative Pro W@ld Gersweiler is resisting the planned clearing of 30,000 square meters of species-rich mixed forest (3,000 trees, some of which are up to 200 years old!) in Krughütter Straße in Gersweiler.
