Last week, together with Vytenis Andriukaitis and Ondřej Dostál, we officially presented the declaration of the new MEP Interest Group on Health Inequalities, Prevention, and Risk Factors in the European Parliament. 🟢

A strong signal for cross-party cooperation for a fairer, healthier EU – because 80% of all deaths in the EU are caused by non-communicable diseases – many of which are preventable!

For me personally, one thing is central: prevention must finally be a priority. This means healthy eating must be promoted, better labeled, and made accessible to everyone, especially children.

Because health doesn't begin in the hospital, but in everyday life. This is what the declaration advocates!
