Last week I was out and about in Thuringia and Saxony!

Last week I was out and about in Thuringia and Saxony and met lots of great people who told me about their everyday concerns. It was great to see how many people share our commitment to protecting nature, the environment, consumers and animals.

At the beginning of the week, I visited the ÖDP Erfurt and the ÖDP Sonneberg! I was very impressed to see how committed our ÖDP party colleagues are to implementing a more ecological policy. The central German broadcaster MDR also accompanied us at an information stand!

I then went on to Leipzig and Dresden. In Leipzig, I took part in a panel discussion organized by Europe Direct, where I debated the urgent problems facing the EU and the future of Europe with other top candidates. I am convinced that we can only move forward with a strong and united Europe. Many see the EU only as an economic union. But it can only survive if it also becomes a union of strong environmental protection and nature conservation. Because nature is the basis of all existence!

This week we're heading to Rhineland-Palatinate! I look forward to seeing you there!
