Team building in Saarland!

Last weekend, I went to Saarland to explore my home region with my team. We will be presenting Saarland at the European Parliament at the beginning of February.

First, we selected wines at a wine tasting at an organic winery in Perl. In the Moselle region, Elbling is one of the oldest cultivated grape varieties in Europe, which already existed under the Romans. The next day, we went to the beautiful Bliesgau biosphere reserve to visit the Wintringer Hof. The farm has been practising organic farming since the 1980s and today employs 140 people, many of them people with disabilities.

Incidentally, the Bliesgau biosphere reserve was named Germany's most sustainable travel destination this year. There are great hiking trails here and you can go on great bike tours in the countryside!

In any case, we really enjoyed it!
