Today, some of the teaching staff at the European Schools are on strike to draw attention to existing grievances. As shadow rapporteur for the European Schools, I have expressed my solidarity with the teaching staff. There is an urgent need for action.
At today's meeting of the Culture Committee (CULT), I therefore appealed to the Vice-President of the European Commission, Roxana Minzatu, responsible for education, to use her influence to quickly find solutions for school operations, teaching quality and pedagogical care. European schools must become lighthouse projects again!

Now is the time to act - for a good education for our children, for the future of Europe!

European schools must become beacons again!
