The Saarbrücker Zeitung (SZ) has published an interview with me on the EU Commission's plans for a new pesticide regulation. In this article, I explain why I am fundamentally in favor of the Commission's initiative and why I consider it important to take farmers along on the journey. I find it obstructive that many MEPs are calling for a moratorium on this legislative proposal, as postponing the inevitable shift towards sustainable agriculture will only make it more expensive.
