🌍 Without nature conservation, our water resources are in danger!

The new water atlas shows alarming figures: Germany loses 2.5 billion cubic meters of water every year. Chemicals, microplastics and pesticides are polluting our waters and our high water consumption is drying out regions around the world.

Climate change is exacerbating the crisis: droughts, floods and unevenly distributed rainfall are upsetting the water balance. 2.2 billion people have no access to clean drinking water.

What can we do?
We must act in Europe. The EU Restoration Act must be implemented to protect rivers and moors. Stricter limits, sustainable agriculture and water-saving technologies are essential. Only through decisive action can we safeguard our water resources. 💧
