Manuela Ripa with top result in the political ranking of NGOs: ÖDP MEP shows more consistent voting behavior on climate, environmental and nature protection than the Greens.

Competence and consistency in political work confirmed: In a recent survey by five leading nature and environmental organizations from Europe, MEP Manuela Ripa from the Ecological Democratic Party (ÖDP - the Nature Conservation Party) scores better than her parliamentary colleagues from the Greens, with whom she makes policy together in The Greens/EFA group in Brussels and Strasbourg. Ripa, who as her party's lead candidate also heads the ÖDP's list of European candidates for the EU elections on June 9, achieved a top result in the Parliament Scoreboard of Birdlife International, Climate Action Network Europe, European Environmental Bureau, Transport&Environment and the nature conservation foundation WWF with 97 out of 100 possible points in the political ranking.

The non-governmental organizations (NGOs) evaluated how the parties and their respective MEPs voted on environmental, nature and climate protection in the 2019 to 2024 legislative period. For Ripa, the result is a success across the board. She and the ÖDP each achieved the full 100 percentage points in nature conservation and environmental protection. The Greens, on the other hand, scored just 84% (environmental protection) and 94% (nature conservation). The Christian Democrats, Liberals and right-wing populists CDU, CSU, FDP, FW, AfD came a long way down the table - the survey confirms how little importance they attach to nature and environmental protection.

Ripa also achieved the highest possible score on climate protection, while the Greens only scored 95%. A similar picture emerges when the NGOs look at important individual issues. In negotiations and votes on better protection against dangerous pesticides, for example, the ÖDP also scored the full 100 percent, while the Greens only achieved 85 percent.

Ripa is vindicated by the assessment: "The survey shows that the ÖDP - the nature conservation party in Europe - is committed to nature, the environment and the climate without any ifs or buts. Anyone who wants an honest ecological policy should vote in the European elections for the party that has remained true to the course of nature conservation for more than four decades."
