01 Nov. Meeting with the Mayor of Saarbrücken and other appointments in Saarland

This week was the European Parliament's constituency week and I had appointments in Saarland.
These included a meeting with the Lord Mayor of Saarbrücken, Uwe Conradt.
We agree that we need to strengthen border regions like Saarland! I was also very pleased with the book about my home town of Saarbrücken!

I was also able to gain exciting insights at Saarland University. I discussed the importance of the Transform4Europe university alliance and the university's international orientation with the university's Executive Board. My special thanks go to Prof. Dominik Brodowski for the informative exchange.
