Today is May 9: Europe Day! 🎉🇪🇺

On May 9, 1950, French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman proposed the joint management of Europe's coal and steel production - former adversaries were to become partners. The European Union grew out of this idea.

#Europe is more than an economic community - it is a peace project, a community of values and our common future.

Right now, it depends on all of us: Let us not only celebrate Europe, but also defend it. Against hatred, against division - for democracy, human dignity and cohesion!
