🌍💬 Today in the European Parliament: Inspiring discussions with students from the Climate Academy!

Today, MEPs welcomed students from the European Schools in Brussels and the VIBGYOR Climate Academy in Mumbai to the European Parliament to discuss a key issue of our time: Overconsumption. The occasion was EU Overshoot Day - the day on which we used up the Earth's resources for a year in just four months. In 2024, this day fell on May 3.

In two exciting 30-minute sessions, the students asked us MEPs challenging questions:
👉 How can we consume more consciously?
👉 What can the EU do to postpone Overshoot Day?
👉 What role does education for sustainability play?

Especially great: For the first time, we opened the event worldwide and connected students from India live! 🌎✨
