EarthDay: It's in our hands!

Today we are celebrating the 54th Earth Day! I would like to take this as an opportunity to draw attention to drinking water protection today. Clean drinking water is a precious commodity that we must protect. As an MEP for the ÖDP, I am committed to measures that protect our environment and our water, not just today, but every day.
For example, on May 5, I will be traveling to Birkensee in Nuremberg to inform people about the dangers of chemicals in bathing lakes.

Important votes are scheduled for next week in the EU Parliament, including:

New genetic engineering: the abolition of mandatory labeling threatens to weaken consumer protection

Energy Charter Treaty: The EU is finally withdrawing from the outdated and climate-damaging treaty that gives international corporations special rights to sue states over climate protection measures.

The common agricultural policy: Following the farmers' protests in recent weeks and months, the EU Commission wants to significantly weaken the agricultural reform. However, in addition to farms, nature conservation must not be neglected. A genuine agricultural reform takes everyone into account!
You can be sure of that: I will vote with sustainable responsibility!
