That's what the wellbeing conference I attended was all about.

 

On our panel, we discussed the post-growth economy. I was very pleased to present the results of our three-day conference Beyond Growth 2023, which we held in the European Parliament in May. I also presented further steps, such as the establishment of an intergroup in the next Parliament on post-growth.

 

Overall, it became clear that a fairer distribution of wealth and a change in the way we live and produce is needed in order to achieve greater life satisfaction. The social is inextricably linked to ecological sustainability!

 

Since our founding 41 years ago, we as the ÖDP have been committed to an economy without the need for constant growth. We are committed to the idea of the post-growth economy, which is guided by the principle of "less is more!". We want to achieve a better quality of life with less material expenditure. This requires a fundamental change in the economic framework.
