It was a great pleasure for me to welcome the committed pupils from the Saarpfalz-Gymnasium in Homburg yesterday and the group of visitors from the Saarland Youth Council to the European Parliament last week.

In both discussions, we explored a wide range of EU issues - from environmental protection and biodiversity to security policy and the creation of an ecological energy transition. My work as chief negotiator for the detergents and cleaning products regulation gave me an insight into the complex EU legislative process.

The pupils and students were actively involved, asked many questions and showed their enthusiasm for political issues! My heartfelt thanks go to all visitors and I wish you continued success on your educational path and for the upcoming final exams!
