Hearing of the new e-Commissioners

From November 4 to 12, 2024, the hearings of the designated EU Commissioners will take place in the European Parliament.
We ask the candidates questions about their suitability. Only when the Parliament gives its OK can the Commission begin its work.
Incidentally, the candidates were chosen by the member states. This makes it all the more important to check them carefully!
It will be exciting to see whether all the Commissioners will survive the hearings.
Today, I put the Commissioner-designate from Malta, Glenn Micallef, responsible for intergenerational justice, youth, culture and sport, through his paces.
It was important to me that democracy and our values are preserved and not jeopardized in the arts, cultural and creative sectors despite or precisely because of AI.
